Where have we been?

Hi everyone ~

It's Roy Boy here....We have been busy with some crazy life stuff...our Dad had the worst...cancer. He had to go through some rough treatments...Mumsie would go with him and then he would feel lousy for a long time...but we know that things are better cause Dad is better and back to work and Mumsie is smiling and they things like, "We are blessed" and "Thank God you are ok"....Dad must be all fixed up now...we're happy...wagging our tails over that one....

Kids have kept both Mum & Dad busy...they are now 15, 13 and 10...can't even believe that! I am on my way to being 7 but that's not til next March....yes, yes, I'm six years old....Old man of the pack...it's ok, I'm pretty spry, Mum still takes me with her to go see all those doggies she takes care of...

We have lots of pictures of what's gone on round here but will post a couple of our most recent pictures...I think we are looking pretty good... I'll be back again soon to post another update and in the meantime, resume my Secret Service Agent duties for my Mum...keep the house safe and protect her...all in a days work for this Airedale. Nose pokes my friends... We are all good...happy to be back on the blog.

Hello everyone in dog blog land!

We have been our busy selves these days....kids have lacrosse games, I have been both gaining and losing clients (economy is number one reason for gains and losses alike...it's been tough here in the northeast...) The dales have been coming to work wiff mumsie and keeping all our clients happy....love that.

The bunnies have been a focus...they went back out in their hutches with the threat of really freezing temps gone. They still have lots of fleece to snuggle in for a few remaining chilly nights. I've surprised myself, I"m quite attached to them! Noah and Cotton are sweet pets. The dales would gobble them up in heart beat...so, we keep them separate. Not to mention that I think the bunnies would have a heart attack from fear...So I snuggle with them in front of TV with the dales either outside or in their room.

Can't believe how fast they grow up...boys are 5 and Lola is 2....whooo! We still talk to Mamma Sherry on a weekly basis...yep, she'll always be part of the pack. We love ya Sher!

Business has been good despite the tough economy...growing a little at a time...thank goodness! We have a few people working for us now and are really starting to see new challenges in terms of growing a small business....but it's so much fun! The Dales and I LOVE it...

Roy is almost 5! Jack will be 5 this summer and Lola...gasp! is almost 2 already! They have been such great companions to my clients pets and keep Mumsie on her toes.

Summer has been CRAZY!

Hey there all you dog-bloggers!

We at Camp Griffindale have been so busy this summer. Seems like we are here only once every month or so. SORRY! Really, we love our bloggy friends but summer has us OUTSIDE! And there have been some fine moments.....

First, Lola Dale has learned to swim! We went to a friend's cottage on a nearby lake and Lola came along. She's been to the beach about 1,000 times but had never really learned to swim. You know, all four paws in the watter, not touching? She learned with Mumsie! We had a ball and she did great. Such an OUTSTANDING DOG! I have to say, Mamma Sherry at Tenkiller Kennels outdid herself. Lola is just perfect in soooo many ways! Even our vet agreed that she is a perfect specimen of a dog - and oh so beautiful as well. Nice!

She's Mamma's Girl, Daddy's Girl and has more boyfriends with Mommy's clients than she can wag her tail at. Perfectly behaved 99.9% of the time.....I can't say anything more that's better. We ADORE our Lola. She is lovey-dovey and she is playful and even the boys (Roy and Jack) love and adore her. She's a GREAT dog.

Roy Al loves to swim also and he went to the beach this summer. Green Harbor Beach in Marshfield was the place we landed this particular day. He swam with Mumsie, a lot, and he got to be a lounge lizard with his sister Ally too. Roy is very well behaved on the beach, and everywhere else too, really. He loves to swim and doesn't really like to come out of the water, especially if at a beach where he can touch and walk in and out himself. Sometimes he'll stand on his hind legs and rest his front paws on my arms or knees and just hang out out in about waist deep water. He did this with me and jumped down and forgot he was out so deep and went right under! No worries Mumsie, he just shook it off, no muss no fuss. Such a good boy Roy Al.

The Cracker Jack has been busy trying to keep his status as PACK LEADER while Lola has been giving him a serious run for the money. Though he is determined to be his Mumsie's main man for a long time to come. My buddy. Love the Cracker. He has assumed a new position while lounging with the family at home...his very own chair! Can you believe he squeezes his furry butt into a leather chair? Well, he does, routinely! Love the Bum! He's our bestest boy and he is a super working dale by the way. He works with me a lot and he is just fantastic with all my clients doggies. Super good boy. Look at him in that chair though, too funny!

We hope you all have been well over the summer and are looking forward to the fall. Apple picking is our family's favorite fall activity. Ahead of myself here though....we have one last beach hurrah coming up, Dad and I are off on a day of adventure down the Cape...maybe in the Jeep! And then there's Labor Day weekend, so....lots can happen!

Been a long time

HELLO EVERYONE!!!!! We love ya...sorry we've been missing.....

Umm, yes, we know, it's been a very long time....yep, a month. Seems that with work and kids and dogs and life, we get to this about once a month. We are sorry! But you should know we have been fine....things have been going well for us recently and we are wish you all love and happiness. Especially our friends that have been having difficult times.....WE THINK OF YOU ALWAYS!

Business has been growing...Praise God for HIS HELP! Whooo-hooo! I just love what I am doing and I am so blessed that my business has been growing. So, thank you to the big doggie upstairs! Love ya! In turn, keeps me busy, fit and tired at night. I walk dogs from about 8 AM until about 4PM each day....usually about 6 to 8 stops a day. I love it....I have pups and older dogs, some I run with with, some jog in the woods with me, some just walk around their neighborhood or stay in their yards! So much unconditional love all day keeps me a happy and well adjusted girl. My husband is most grateful as well.

The kids, Roy, Jack and Lola, all get to take turns and accompany me. I have clients that ASK for them to come along so their pets can get some socialization each day! How nice is that? Very special.

Hey There Every Dawg & Cat.....

Our girlie turned one....yes, it was a quiet family celebration...just three crazy dales, Mumsie and Dad and frosty paws treats! She is just beautiful and takes my breath away. We called Mamma Sherry , our Breeder, to share the day with her.

Easiest just to say this....I am grateful for the gift of Lola and joy she has brought to me and my family...she is a treasure. I cannot begin to put in words how special she is to me....but she is the baby girl that God wanted me to have ~ and I'm good with that! We adore our Lola Dale, big girl is ONE!

Hello There Everydog and Everyfriend....

Mumsie Griffindale here...along with LOLA DALE ...yes, we've been busy. Always seems there is something that comes up and keeps us busy! Mumsie's busy-ness has been keeping her focused on her clients and their doggies. Then we have the 2 legged kiddos, they have had basketball, concerts and Ally's 13th birthday pawty. Yes, we've had lots to do.

However, you are always in our hearts and minds!

We first want to say that we are in thoughtful and respectful mourning for Lu-lu and Bogart. How our hearts broke when we heard the news about Klaus, his difficult illness and his unexpected passing so early in life. Lu-lu....we are here...thinking of you and Bogart and loving you and saying BIG BIG AIREPRAYERS for you both.

We hope you don't mind that we have borrowed one of your pictures...this is our favorite...you 3 are connected in sheer love. We will continue to remember you all in our hearts and prayers way over here on the other side of the country. We send you wishes for peace...

We have been busy trying to be good scoobies and share our Aire-ness with so many OTHER DOGGIES around us. Luckily, Mumsie let's us occasionally go to work with her...we can share our Aire-suasion and Aire-ways with all of her doggie friends. So, here are a few of our recent connections wiff the D-O-G's she takes care of! We love to help Mumsie and make friends!!!!

This is me, LOLA DALE and my friend Tucker in Mumsie's Jeepie....we had a pawesome time that day! Tucker is a Wheaton!

Here I am wiff my fwiend Sandy...we LOVE to romp in the snow and we always have fun together..... Sandy Man is a Vizsla.

This is Master Roy Al having a good day with Tucker. They went to Norris Reservation together....it was a great day, for sure!

And of course, Master Cracker Jack is part of the Pawesome Pals working team. We try to make friends wiff all our doggie clients. Jack has fun with Sandy...he likes to track the deer in the woods as much as Sandy. Airedales have been used as hunting dogs and Sandy is a Vizsla...they too are hunting dogs!

Finally, Here I am wiff my fwiend Bella Boop! Bella is a still a pup like me - she's a Westie. I like her lots....we have fun together.....

So you see, Mumsie has been busy taking care of our pals. We help as much as we can and we always do our Airey-best to make her shine! We are happy that the snow has melted and our paws are crossed for NO MORE SNOW!

More Snowy Fun

Hello Everyone! It's Mumsie here. We've been having lots of cold, snowy weather here in the Boston area.......We went for a walk in the woods today to follow some deer tracks. There were 5 deer right next to the house at 8 AM and so we all wanted to see where they went. Needless to say we did NOT find the deer. But when we came back we went sledding and we played in the snow with the dales...YIPPEE!

Yes, very handsome dales..... they love the camera. Most times they have no idea what their crazy mamma is doing with that thingy that makes clicking noises and has a bright light on it.....yes, we were taking pictures again today. My babies bring me such joy.

Look at those gorgeous dale faces and how beautiful they are! Mamma Sherry ~ you breed some fabulous looking Airedales. Mamma Sherry, Paddy, Apache, Snookie, Yalo & Tara Dales have all given us these 3 beautiful pups to share our lives with. We love you and appreciate the magic that is in our lives because of these doggies.

The Dales of course had fun and are now sleeping on the sofa RECOVERING from their big day. Ha! Spoiled babes. I did get some GREAT pictures of the furkids though. Just love the snow buddies! They are easy subjects, for sure.

Hope everyone is enjoying the cold, snowy weather. It has made my dog walks a little uncomfortable....not all doggies are made for pouncing, bounding, digging and wrassling in the snow like the Dales! Uh, guess we do have the perfect dogs....cause they also love the water and the sand and being boat babies....Who said boat? Ah, memories of sun and sand.......June and July will be here before we know it. Until then, we continue to enjoy the New England weather, go on adventure walks after the deer, and bounce and pounce to our hearts content!

Here are my 2 favorites from today.....pretty magical if you ask me. Dales just being dales but they make my heart SING!

Hello, hello, hello!

Yes, we've missed you all, too!

Well the Griffindales did a holiday magic disappearing act - huh? We didn't really go anywhere, we were just *very* busy! As you know I have been pouring myself into my company and getting my business going....it is paying off. I THANK GOD everyday for the growth and stability I have after only being in business these past months. I have AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL CLIENTS AND PETS in my roster and it is an absolute joy to go to work each day.

So, that being said, I do all my own marketing and design work, I visit vet offices, local supermarkets, post offices, industrial parks and pet stores to leave my brochures and flyers. I also have a pretty good website that I do myself and it has served me pretty well. I have taken classes, joined the appropriate organizations and really focused on saying 'thank you' to those that have referred me. I appreciate any and all help from my family and friends.

Not everyone owns a dale!

Ahhhhhhh...then the holidays came and I had to shop for presents! For the family, friends and THE BUSINESS! Yikes....and plan for the family parties (yes, parties....more than one) and the food and the beverages and the desserts...yadda, yadda, yadda. And still operate my business. Insanity set in when I had to think about holiday cards for the business AND for us....TWO sets of cards, ADDRESSES AND STAMPS! Hmmmmmm, I love the holidays, I love the holidays, I love the holidays..... I will NOT become the grinch, I will NOT become the grinch, I WILL NOT BECOME THE GRINCH!

See, the kids say sledding was fun this year in ALL the snow we got!

However, in the sea of holiday "BLISS", I discovered that I love my family, my pack of dales, my business and of course....I still had my spirit of giving! It is all kind of crazy and yet we love it and we do it over and over - year after year.

Santa came for a visit and we managed a few entertaining things for ourselves. All in all, a great holiday season.

Sean and I actually got to attend things together and with the kids.....busy but FUN!

Now, we are back to "normal" - we turned the page on 2008. Ring in 2009...it's gonna be just fine. I look forward to a year of wonderful and positive things. For lots of quality time spent with my dogs and being able to take one of them to work with me each day. I feel blessed to have all that in my life. I feel blessed that I found my way to "my calling" - working with animals - at age 40 and not at age 55 or 60.

Anyhow....after sharing my holiday season enlightenment with you....here are some GREAT pictures of the dales and a friend or two.....Enjoy! AND HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Howdy! Mr. Cracker Jack here...Mumsie calls me Bum-Bum on account of my cute bum I guess...she has wots of cute names for each of us. Anyhow, thought I'd share some family fun pictures wiff you!

Here's me & the Lola dale just having fun, we're the best tug-o-war team in the da World! We are so good at it....she is a tough cookie, my sissy dale. Never gives up!

Alas, I always seem to win....maybe it's my size advantage...anyhow, I don't mind but that girlie...she minds. She keeps saying "Wait til I get a little bigger, Jack-Jack, I"m gonna win!" She's probably right...she's getting big!

And Here is my brother Roy Boy, just chillin on the family sofa. He's Mumsie's love bug. Always wants to snuggle. And I guess he's a pretty good boy cause Mumsie calls him her 'angel boy Roy'. Angel? What about me?

Well, here I am hanging wiff my boy Jake watching TV. Mumsie calls me 'frog man' when I lay like this. I do it cause it feels good on my hips and my leggies.....I LOVE to stretch out .

So that's it...nothing doing round here...just hanging...

Oh, yeah we got tubbies yesterday too...so we are CLEAN! Mumsie clipped Lola Belle, we boys did not get cuts...on account of winter coming. But Lola will get her ears glued today....so, Mumsire needed to clip her to make sure the glue will set right. Okie Dokes...Bum-Bum saying "Later, dudes". I'll check in again this week!

Lola Dale reporting here today.....I've been a busy little camper these days. I'm a working girl now. No more of this sitting around on my butt yawning all day.....hut-two, three, four....that's my chant when Mummy calls!

See, I work for Pawesome Pals, Mumsie's new busyness...yes, she is busy, busy,busy. And now so am I, Jack and Roy Al....we are busy all the time working wiff her. We take turns, who goes what day, but we all wuff it! See me and Tucker here...Mumsie runs in the woods wiff Tucker and me or Roy or Jack. And then we go to see Miss Bella, or Sheamus, or Digger & Bailey, or Tyson or Holly...well, you get the picture. We walk all day long...Mumsie is getting skinny and we are having a ball. It totally rocks! How cool is it that we get to go to work wiff Mumsie? Neat- eh?

So, this is Mumsie and me and Tucker one day in a park called Norris Reservation. We love this place and we do lots of running and walking here. We see Tucker 5 days a week. He's a Wheaton Terrier...our hooman kiddos say we must be cousins on account of having the same black button noses....My Lu-Lu may be right...he's pretty cool and Jack really likes him so we'll let Mumsie keep him as her client.

And this is me and Tucker walking...Mumsie wouldn't put in the butt sniffing pictures but think they were cool. Anyhow, see how nicely we walk together. We run like crazy little nut bags when we are jogging...Mumsie does a lot of giggling. It's pretty cool to hear Mumsie giggle so much on account that she was so sad when I first arrived. She tells me all the time it was "Lola Magic" that made her smile again. Tee-hee!

See this picture...this is Mr. Cracker Jack, my big brother, and Tucker at a boathouse on one of the trails along the North River. This is the same river you saw me boating on this summer wiff Mumsie and Daddy. Tucker's house is on the river, well, next to the river.....so that's why we walk wiff him everyday.

Cracker Man likes to run the show but sometimes wiff Tucker he has to walk right next to him....he gets peeved but he doesn't tell Mumsie....he just does his job as a working man should. Good Boy Cracker, way to help out Mumsie!

This one is on a day that Mumsie had a friend wiff her too. We all walked together in the park. So much fun for one little girlie. What would life be like if Mumsie was still in Real estate? Geesh, I wouldn't have this much fun I don't think....Glad Mumsie is a dog walker and pet sitter...it is WAY more cool now.

Just so you don't think I do all the work, here is Jack at Digger n Bailey's house...he walks wiff the shelties....they like him and he does a good thing over there...he helps Mumsie just like me do.
Ya know, we don't have any pictures or Roy Al working wiff Mumsie...hmmmmmm...I'll find some he does it too ya know....helps Mumsie out.

And so this concludes my first report on being a working girl. I'm sure there will be much more to tell soon enough. It's hard to be so busy but we need to help out Mumsie and we love being outside wiff her all the time. (errr, except when it rains...SHE still walks the dogs but we don't...we stay home!) Anyhow, I'm learning a lot, manners and good girl behavior and all kinds of stuff...Whoo-hooo!

Where oh where have we been?

Where have the Griffindales been? Well, they have all been right here, growing and learning and becoming a good little pack of doggies. Where has their mother been? Well, honestly, working her buns off! BUT....it is paying off! Getting a business tolaunch is tough stuff but we are making positive progress all the time! New clients, lessons learned, marketing...

Yadda, yadda, yadda....

We have not abandoned our friends...Mumsie has just been very busy and tired and hasn't been able to post! I am sorry! We will definately being posting soon....with pictures....

Here's the scoop on the kiddos....

LOLA!!! Wow! She is getting fixed tomorrow and I'm a nervous Mumsie...of course she will be fine but yes, I'm worried! She is after all my baby girl....oh, did I mention that she is pushing 57 lbs at age 6 months and on her way to greatness...as in size? Yeah, our girl is growing like a weed! She is also very well behaved and a love. She snuggles with her Daddy all the time...seems to be a Daddy's girl.....her color is a gorgeous red and she is smart, smart, smart! She comes with Mumsie to work sometimes too and is great when socializing with other doggies!

Cracker Jack...our big boy...he's healed from his corn cob incident and his hair is finally sort of filling in on his belly. Thank goodness because he was naked for so long! With the colder temperatures coming quickly, it's nice to know he'll have some hair on his tummy. He's feeling a little challenged by Lola and her all consuming presence, requests for attention and her bitey face games....Jack can see the writing on the wall but he's not moving aside easily, that's for sure!

And of course, Number 1 son, Roy Al.....he's my special buddy...loving and needing extra attention, he now sleeps RIGHT NEXT TO Mumsie on the bed each night. He's feeling rather like the king of everything!

So, that's the quick version....more to follow soon...thanks for not forgetting who we are! We love you all...Bark at cha soon!

Just Hanging Out

Hello Mumsie here, with Lola at my side......

We missed wheelie Wednesday yesterday...OOPS! Mumsie has been busy with her new business and getting things underway....Pawesome Pals is getting there....a little at a time! But it is time consuming and takes some dedicated effort with short marketing dollars...so I make the best of it with my own three stars...using them as my models! Whooo-hoooooo...how nice to know my babies are contributing!

Anyhow...we went to the beach recently and you won't believe how big Miss Lola is getting...She is leggy and beautiful and just a complete love. Jack-Jack got an airecut from me the other day but he looks a bit funny...naked on the top and bottom....we love you tons anyhow Jack!!! And Roy Al is just as steady and true blue as can be...He is such a good boy. Here are a few pictures....

Mumsie wanted to say thanks to Bogart...you have "carded" us and we have not posted since...thanks...we'll get it up there by tomorrow! We appreciate that.

We've Got A Wheelie!

Sit right down and you'll hear a tale of a crazy wheelie and 3 Airedales......

WOW! We heard a rumor that there was a wheelie looking for a place to crash in town but the wheelie had a pal....a pinkie dog.....needless to say, we dales put the word out that we were interested......Especially me, since I am pack leader here at Camp Griffindale....yep, it's Jack-Jack and I'm back in charge of the pack.

See, it started a couple of weeks ago when Sherry asked our Mumsie about a wheelie....."What would you name a wheelie if you had one at your house?" Very interesting that shortly thereafter we had a knock on our door.....

It's Roy Al here....see the two little vermin out in owur driveway....we was very suspiciousy of dem at firwst but Jack-Jack said it would be pawsitively okay cause he would make sure that noffing went awry.....

There's the pinkie dog, there's the pinkie dog!!! Can I play wiff the pinkie dog? Oh my dog, I would love to CHEW UP THAT STUFFIE!! DEETZY BOY AND BEASE WOULD BE SO PROUD OF ME!

Yeah, so they got closer and closer....they knocked on the door but MUMSIE WEFT IT UNLOCKED! THEY CAME WIGHT INSIDE! OH MY DOG...JACK- JACK WHAT DO WE DO?

Howdy there my Airepals and other d-o-g like-type-friends!

It's Roy Boy reporting here....thought I'd give you the low down on our Mumsie....she was all freaked out because of poor Jack-Jack. Though, since he has come home she's doing better now - though I heard her drinking something last night and explaining to Lola it was for "medicinal purposes"....Dad said she just needed a glass of wine to R-E-L-A-X !!!!!!

Anyhow, as she was getting back to 'normal' around here, she noticed that Lola and I were looking a bit scruffy I guess you could say. So.....out came the clippers. dah-da-dat-dat-dah.......

Now, I know Mumsie used to trim up her Shepherds in the summer to keep them cool but I KNOW she never gave an airedale cut before.....I was nervous but was a very good boy. I stood still and relaxed and when I thought she was gettin the hang of itpretty good, I took a nappie in her lap. She was working on my ears and it felt so good!

Anyhow....here are our pictures...of me and Lola. I think Lola was harder because she kept moving alot and wiggling around like puppies do. Oh and Lola, she did not like the buzzing in her ears at all.....she shook her head alot.... Jack-Jack did not get his airecut cause he's still healing from his boo-boos......WE LOVE YOU JACK!

Okie Dokies...let us know if we look like freaks and need to go for a long long walk to the groomers ourselves to get our cuts fixed...but ya know, I don't think they are too bad. I mean, I'm not embarassed or anything.....my butt still looks good and all......

HI EVERYONE!!!

THIS IS JACK'S VERY THANKFUL MUMSIE....THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT AND LOVE AND PRAYERS...THEY WORKED CAUSE JACK IS HOME SAFE N SOUND.

HE IS NAKED, BUT DOING BETTER. HE'S EATING BLAND DIET OF CHICKEN, RICE, COTTAGE CHEESE, YOUGURT, OATMEAL....A LITTLE APPLESAUCE AND SOON...A TASTE OF PUMPKIN (SHERR'Y SECRET).

JACK SEEMS TO BE IMPROVING EACH DAY ~ HE'S EATING REGULARLY, HE WANTS TO BE INTERACTIVE WITH THE OTHER 2 KIDS BUT WE HAVE TO KEEP HIM QUIET SO HIS INCISION/INTERNAL SUTURES CAN HEAL PROPERLY. HERE ARE SOME PICTURES OF MY NAKED BOY AND HIS BELLY.

FIRST PICTURE IS WHILE HE WAS AT THE VETS, WE VISITED HIM AND TOOK HIM FOR A WALK OUTSIDE SO HE STILL HAS THE IV PORT IN HIS LEG....

HE SORT OF HAS A DOPEY FACE, HE HAD LOTS OF PAIN MEDICINE IN HIM THEN.

JACK IS RESTING IN THE LIVINGROOM ON HIS NEW BED. HE SLEEPS DOWNSTAIRS IN A KENNEL BECAUSE HE CANNOT CLIMB THE 25 STEPS TO OUR UPSTAIRS/BEDROOMS YET.

SEE HIS LOVELY RING AROUND THE ANKLE? THAT WILL TAKE A YEAR TO GROW OUT AND BLEND IN AGAIN....A CONSTANT REMINDER FOR OUR FAMILY TO EXERCISE CAUTION!!!!

LOLA HAS BEEN VERY 'OUT OF SORTS' SINCE THIS HAPPENED TO JACK - SHE IS VERY ATTACHED TO HER PACK LEADER. SHE ALWAYS STAYS WITHIN A FEW FEET OF JACK TO WATCH HIM AND BE CLOSE. SHE CRIES IF SHE CAN'T SEE HIM AND THAT HE IS OK....HOW SWEET IS THAT?

AND THERE IT IS...THE NASTY INCISION THEY HAD TO MAKE IN OUR BOY'S BELLY TO GET THAT 3" PIECE OF CORN COB OUT. BEWARE THE COBS! THEY NEVER, EVER DIGEST AND MY VET HAS REMOVED 7 FROM VARIOUS SIZE DOGS THIS SUMMER ALONE. THEY ARE VERY DANGEROUS AND IT IS VERY SCARY TO GO THROUGH THIS....PLEASE NOBODY LEAVE CORN COBS AROUND WHERE YOU BABY'S CAN GET THEM! IT TOOK JACK ABOUT 3 AND 1/2 SECONDS TO GET THE PIECE HE GRABBED FROM THE KITCHEN FLOOR DOWN HIS THROAT. I'LL NEVER TAKE FOR GRANTED THAT MY FUR KIDS WILL BE SAFE IF THEY ARE SITTING IN MY LIVING ROOM WHILE WE CLEAN UP FROM A MEAL IN THE KITCHEN......FROM NOW ON...THEY WILL ALWAYS IN THE MUD ROOM!!!!

JACK-JACK ATE A PIECE OF A CORN COB THURSDAY NIGHT AND IS IN THE DAWGGIE HOSPITAL. HE HAD TO HAVE SURGERY TO REMOVE IT FROM HIS TUMMY. HE HAS MADE IT THROUGH OK AND IS RECOVERING.

THE DOCTOR CALLED TODAY TO SAY THAT JACK LOOKS OK BUT HAS NOT HAD ANY INTEREST IN FOOD YET. THIS IS A BIT OF A BUMMER - WE WERE HOPING TO BRING JACK HOME TODAY. PLEASE KEEP UP THOSE AIREPRAYERS ON JACK'S BEHALF...WE NEED HIM HOME SAFE AND SOUND!

Flying the Friendly Skies

Well, let me tell you a story about a little girl named Sierra that just had to fly in an airplane....Our Mumsie went on a bye-bye and she didn't take any of us! Not one! We saw her pack up a bag and we saw her take treats and water and then....none of us!!!!! WHAT? WHAT IS THIS?

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING MOMMY?" I had to ask, being the littlest Griffindale......

Well, she came home wiff a familiar doggie smell on her and then, she showed us the pictures and told us the story!

Ah my griffindale babies......Roy Al, Jack-Jack and Mis Lola.....Remember that all you furkids came to Mumsie on a big plane (oh yeah, that metal birdie in the sky) well, I had to help another Tenkiller Airedale get to her new home. I had to go to Logan Airport and pick her up. See here she is with a friend of ours, that nice lady who has met each of you at the Continental Airlines Cargo Hanger. She was just as nice to Sierra. Roy Boy, she is an all black Dale just like you.

Now, Mumsie was very happy to see Miss Sierra looking so good. She had NO (absolutely DRY) accidents in her kennel, she chewed up some of her newspaper but that's ok. We had some kibbles and some water, because just like you guys, she was very hungry. I watched her gobble up her kibbles in no time at all! Then we had a nice walkie to stretch her bones a bit. After all, she'd been in her kennel since early morning and that is not part of her routine! Then we got loaded into the car and ready to go!

Sierra was not having any part of getting back in her kennel, but neither was Mumsie....I wanted Ms. Sierra to stretch out and relax for a while. Now that she had food in her belly and could relax a little bit, I could tell she was very happy! She her happy face here......

Mumsie, she is very cute! She looks like Roy Boy and she has a white spot like me do...she would be lots of fun to play wiff. How come she didn't come home wiff you?

Well, good question Miss Lola Belle....see, first of all, Sierra has a BIG JOB to do. She is going to be a Service Dog for a lovey lady named Allison. Allison needs Sierra to help her do some things in her life because Allison uses a wheel chair to get around. Sierra can be a big help to her by getting things for her and helping out around the house. So, that is the first reason......the second reason is that Mamma Sherry told Mumsie she can't keep her, no matter how cute we all think she is, she has a forever home that she is going to. Just like you did, Miss Lola. Your forever home is here with Mumsie. Right?

Yep, that's right Mumsie, I understand now. Too bad though, she would have been fun to play wiff.

And you are so right Lola Belle...I think you and Roy and Jack would have LOVED her very much. But we had to hit the road and get going to Maine!

So here we are, on the road. It was a nice drive because the weather was good and it wasn't at rush hour. It was about 80 degrees and the windows were down (Sierra loved the breeze in the back of the car! - ALL THOSE SMELLS!!!!) We had very little traffic once we got out of Boston and on our way North, through NH to Maine. Did I tell you that Sierra is going to be with some trainers too?

No, what are Trainers, Mumsie? Who are they?

Well, the trainers that Sierra will work with are two very nice people. There is Miss Caitlin and her husband Martin. Caitlin will train Sierra and Martin will help her. They have a nice kennel in Maine and have agreed to help out Miss Allison by training Sierra to do what is necessary as a service dog. This is Caitlin and Martin with a doggie that stays at their kennel.

Ah, and there is the Portsmouth Bridge......a landmark that tells me we are getting closer to MAINE! By the way, Miss Sierra has been napping for most of the ride and she is just a love. Lola Dale, I'm sure that you remember Miss Sierra from Mamma Sherry's house...did you remember her smells?

Yeah Mumsie, that was my fwiend at Mamma Sherry's houwse...I wemember Miss Siewwa! I would surely have liked to seen her and say hello and sniff butts and stuff....did she smell me in the car Mumsie?

I'm sure she did Princess. And then in a few more minutes...WE ARRIVED at our meeting place. We met with Martin who was going to take Miss Sierra to their kennel and start to train her and get her to Miss Allison. Isn't this exciting stuff?

This is the Route 1 sign, just a few more minutes to go!!!And then we pulled into the parking lot and met with Martin in the back where there were very few cars. We had plenty of space to let Miss Sierra out to walk some more, go potty and say hello to her next new friend. She and Martin had one more leg of the journey to make for the day.

And here is Miss Sierra with Martin and walking with us. We chatted about blacks and how Mumsie and Daddy came to decide we wanted Airedales and then how we found Mamma Sherry. We talked a bit about what good doggies you Airedales are and then a bit about their kennel - Pet Haven. They have about 30 doggies a day come stay wiff them for day care! They are busy! Anyhow, we let Miss Sierra feel some grass under her toes and try to potty. We loaded up her kennel in Martin's car and then......they went bye-bye on the last leg of Miss Sierra's very long day.

A little quiet time in the grass....See her beautiful spot just like yours, Lola? She is a beautiful little girl, too, just like you. And very sweet, Mumsie got many kisses from Miss Sierra.

And then Mumsie's job was done, it was time to say goodbye to Miss Sierra so she and Martin could get to their final destination. Poor Sierra had such a long day of travel but she was a trooper - that little pooper looper! She got in Martin's car and I gave her the fleece we had and the hand leash so Martin could stop with her if he needed to. She looked tired but was still such a good girl. Martin was very kind and was happy to have Miss Sierra in the front with him for their journey. At least Miss Sierra won't be lacking attention or loving care.....seems everyone is bewitched by her sweet personality!

There she is - the super duper girl, Miss Sierra. Hope you had a safe journey for the last of your travels Sweetie! Wishing you love and much happiness in your new forever home. I'm certain that between Allison, Caitlin and Martin that you are going to be well loved. Blessing little girl as you begin the big job that lies ahead!

V-V-V-acation! Whoo-hooo!

Howdy my Pawesome Friends! You've been checking in on us! How very thoughtful! We wuff you wotts and wotts!

Wisten up good, everydog....Dis is Lola Dale here....I am growing and getting so smaht my Mumsie can't beweeve it! I don't have any accidents in the houwse, I Listen really well, I can go up and down 24 stairs by myself, and I barkie when I needs to tinkle. Coolio, huh? I had the most pawsitivley pawesome vacation wiff my family and my brothers dale.....Oh my dog! Wet me tewwl you aaaaaawwwwlllllllll about it!

Otay.....firwst Nanny Celeste came to see us on a big metal bird from a place called California..she said it was a long way to fly. But we are so glad she came because the kiddos had not seen her in about 2 1/2 years....

Then not so pawesome for us but they went to a place called Martha's Vineyard on weally big, big, big boat....way bigger than Mumsie n Daddies is. And they went sight seeing....when you see, don't you call seeing 'eyesight'...why did they need to go to Martha's house to do that? Anyway, they took this picture at Gayhead - must be an awfullllly happy place.

Then they went to a pwace we were weally mad about - we being us three dales left at home - they went to .....

Yes, THE BLACK DOG STORE! How dare they go to such a pwace....they din't go to a pwace called the Airedale Inn...I mean weally, its absurd to think that a another BLACK DOG exists....there's weally only Roy Boy, Apache, Willow and a few others from Tenkiller that count so who is this other BLACK DOG? Weee-diculous....and a waste of time......they could have been home wiff ME!!!!!!

Well, then they came home to us and they were all smiley.....we could smell the remnants of that weeee-diculous other BLACK DOG on them...like we wouldn't notice. And then Mumsie put all her stuffie-stuff down and came over to mee and picked me up and said, "Miss Lola Belle, how I have missed you today!" And then, Oh My Dog!, we got to snuggle up on the couch! SCORE! One big one for the puppy dale! See, here we are, all snuggly wuggly.....I wuff my Mumsie. She even let me stay in her lap ALL NIGHT LONG! TOTALLY PAWESOME!

See my brother Jack-Jack, he was very jealousy like of me being wiff Mumsie so much....I guess he's a reall Mamma's Boy and his nose was a little out of joint... Hey can you guys teewl how big I am getting to be? Mumsie says I have the longest leggies ever she's seen....I tell her I'm just a growing girl doing my thingy-ma-jiggy. Well, it gets better....

See then we went to the beach wif Nanny Celeste and the kids and it was pawesome cause we like went everyday....it was weally fun. I am a really gweat swimmy doggie now Mumsie says....

I mean look at my form...I got one ear back in the wind, my leggies are doing the right stuff......and I weally weally wuff the water! It's so cool and feels all comfy on my belly and stuff..... Whooo-hooooo and all that jazz...Mumsie I wuff all the fun tings we get to do!

I made new fwiends too at the beachy.....this ismy fwiend Marley...Marley is a puppy too (but not a puppydale!)

Yeah, and I have better manners and am a better swimmy-er...and I'm younger! Marley is about 6 months old....

Marley did the jumpy thingy....that's bad...she scratched up Mumsie's fwiend wiff her toe nails.....

WE HAD THE BESTEST TIME EVER AND I NEVER WANTED IT TO END..... EVER.......

This is my tired, thinking doggy face. On the boat ride back to the dock....I have to be a good girlie for Mumsie and Daddy.

Howdy there Every Dog and Every Person....... Your Griffindale Puppy Update here......

We are just hanging 'round today....Mumsie has been busy doing her usual thing - work stuff and such....

We thought we'd tell you all about Lola's Big Boat and Beach adventure! She got to go wiff the kiddos and have a great day wiff the family at the beach on Saturday.....

So, she got to ride in the car to get to the marina....okay, no big deal there, except she went for a bye-bye and WE STAYED HOME! Then she got on the boat to cruise up the river to go to the Spit...that's what the beach is called....the Spit. We've both been there but we guess Saturday was Miz Lola's turn....

And see, see, see...Lola can swimmy already!!!! She is SOOOOO SMAHT!

Well, with those pancake paws she SHOULD be able to swim....ha-ha... look at her, she looks a bit like a drowned rat...not a princess! OOPS! Maybe we shouldn't have said that.....ummm, sorry Mumsie! Sorry Lola Dale.......

And there she is, figuring out WHAT SAND IS....yeah, we know. It gets everywhere! Up your nose, in your paws, in your ears, on your belly.....mmmmmm but it feels good! Soft and squishy like! Looks like Lola had a good time in the sand.....

And in Mumsie's lap and see the frosting on her nose? HEEE-HEEEEE!

And then finally she laid down and took a nap.....

Now, let us tell you that Lola napped on Sunday and again on Monday from her BIG BEACH ADVENTURE...she was soooo tired. Mumsie gave her a tubbie too so she wouldn't have salt and sand all over her...... We love you Lola, welcome to the world of Griffindale adventure! It's only just begun.... We look forward to lots more adventures wiff you!

Father's Day Weekend

Well, it was Father's Day and we were very busy this weekend. We had Ally's Promotion Ceremony too - from 6th Grade to 7th Grade and moving up to Junior High School. Plus she had a Dance Recital this weekend on Saturday. AND then it was Father's Day on Sunday.

Look at poor us...we got (relatively speaking) no attention or love.....we were practically neglected based on recent attention standards....

Here I stand in my kennel room....well, it's really Mumsie's mud room that she gave to us. Wiff just my toys....and my brothers of course....

And that's the fish tank behind them...we get to watch them swim around all day......

BUT THEN SHAZAM!

Howdy Y'All ~

I'm Lola Dale....I wear PINK. Yep, I"m Mumsie's Girl and I am rockin' the house over here. Those 2 boys don't what hit 'em! I race and romp and play bitey face wiff them but Mumsie doesn't let them bitey face back....yet. I suspect when I reach my Big Girl sizes....ah, like 100 pounds....that won't be the case anymore. But for now - It's totally pawesome cuz the boys can't TOUCH ME! I AM A PRINCESS!

Oh yeah and in case you are wonderin'...I LOVE my new house and my family so very much. They wuff me and squeeze me and give me toys and treats and I am a pretty spoiled princess....I do really like it here. I have a very spacious kennel next to Mumsie's bed where I sleep (she's my bestest friend in the whole world ya know) and she takes me out when I need to potty and she feeds me when I'm hungry....and sometimes she scolds me when I do something totally puppydale....but I have to learn she says.

Well, I had an adventure in her garden last night and with the kiddos....we had so much FUN! Here are some pictures.....

And there was so much to learn about...I had to really get in there.....I even dug a litle hole and turned over a couple of rocks....Mumsie didn't seem like she thought I was helpful... but I tried....

And finally, I got to take a rest. I don't know how Mumsie does it all...there's so much to keep up wiff!

Well, I will stop over and visit some of your bloggies this weekend. Mumsie is sorry for not being better at touching bases this week.....I have kept her busy. And she got the Secret Santa package for us Dales and needs to post about that (thank you so much to our BUDDY FLASH!!!!!) and she sent off a package to Gus and Louie and has to post about that.....SORRY GANG! I have been the most important thing in Mumsie's world this past week (how nice for me) and Mumsie is sorry that she has not been able to pay more attention to all her friends and pals of the Griffindales. She will be better next week - PROMISE!

Hello Everyone ~

We are so happy she is here....I am just in love with our girl and the boys are getting used to her as well. Jack seems a bit more put out - as he is our big alpha......and Roy Boy is the nurturing and playful brother...being attentive and making sure that Lola is ok. Jack engaged in some play time last night which was very positive so it seems we are all adjusting well.

Princess Lola got to go swimming at her cousin's house already. It was in the 90's and VERY hot so we packed it up and went over to their place for some relief on Sunday afternoon. Lola loves the pool and getting to be so cool in the water but she also found a comfy spot under my chair too.

I cannot help it, they have not fallen out yet so they are very sharp and I only mean to nibble.....but Mumsie says it hurts. OOOPsies! I will have to be careful!

And here I am wiff cousin Lucky in the background....she's a 1 yr old Boxer girl who like to play rough....I must also admit, I was under Mumsie's chair to escape! But it was ok....Lucky was mostly just trying to have fun. I was just too hot to want to play.

Mumsie has been so very busy that she FORGOT TO BLOG! What is up wiff Mumsie, Roy Boy?

I don't know Crackers, she has been a busy lady....running to some place called a printers and to the Town Halls and of course, to PetCo! But what she has been doing, I don't weally know.

Yeah, all something that has to do wiff a COMPANY she has been working on....I tink she is twing to make herself a MOGUL in the pet care world round here. She wants to take care of other peoples' pets wike she takes care of us. What's up wiff dat?

Well, we know our mumsie is so super good...remember just a few days ago we had that STRANGER DANGER KITTY in our house?

OH YEAH! She put that Kitty Thingy in our kids bathroom. He was here for wike 2 or 3 whole days and nights....we don't DO cats here at our houwse. We rule and other pets just drool....well, maybe not the birds - can birds drool?

Well here he is that wascally rascal that Mumsie brought inside the house. Remember he had a tag that said he was from some place far away and the Kitty Thingy's parents didn't live there anymore? Yeah and then Mumsie made wots and wots of phone calls to find the Kitty Thingy's real houwse. BUT he got to eat TUNA FISH while he was here! 2 whole cans! Just look at him in our kids bathroom - actin' wike he owns the joint....

AND....do you see he has a STUFFIE! WHAT is Mumsie thinking? I am in total shock! She shared our stuffies!

Yeah well, ya know this Kitty Thingy was on our porch for a couple of days before he was brought in the houwse Roysie...Mumsie is so nice she felt bad...thought he was lost and she was right. Do you care about that particular stuffie....I DON'T....we have the WUBBA from T-Bone....much more fun. Anyhow, Mumsie towld me that she would want some one to take care of us if we were ever lost and that's why she did it.

Well, Kitty Thingy said his name was Leo and that he was old....wike 16 years old....and he was happy to know his Mamma was coming to get him - thanks to Mumsie. For a stwanger he was pwety nice to us. Even if he was in our kids bathroom. He wandered about 3 miles away from home and ouwr Mumsie found his Mama.

Well, it's all good Roy Boy...he's gone back to his home and WE ARE STILL HERE wiff Mumsie waiting for LOLA DALE!!!!!! She's so cute....can't wait til she arrives! June 5th is coming soon!

My hooman kiddos are at soccer so i decided it's time to tell you about my secret mission.....about 2 weeks ago, just before my airecut, I had to go on a mission to wemedy a dangerous situation. Roy Boy towld me dat my wittle hoomans had gathered so many of those "other kinds of" animals that aren't wike us, I thought there might be some twouble brewing....so I went to check it out.....

Here is am sniffing the best way a Dale can, twying to figure out why they are all lining up, wike they are pweparing for an attack! Fwom smallest to wargest.....on my wittlest hooman's bed! I was getting vewy concerned.......so I decided not wait and to.....ATTACK FIRWST!

So....I captured the biggest of them all and made him march off the bed down to the floor......and answer my questions......

"I'm just a Pooh....Oh bother......where is Rabbit when I need him?"

We had a great visit wiff ouwr cousin Sammy! He came down from the Cape to see us and hang out and pway! It was pawesome. He's not an Airedale....he's a British Cream....whatever that means.....You decide....In any case, he pways wiff just wike Dales...he pways bitey face wiff us and he gets his coat all dirty and we all have fun!!!!

Me and Roy had a gweat day yesterday, we got to go back Luddam's again wiff Mumsie AND Dad! We went way further up the trail and found another wittle creek to splash about in and found out that trail hiking can be tiring! Cuz we were tired Dales last night. Here me and Roy are in the creek wiff our Daddy....

So we were weally wucky to go back again yesterday. Mumsie was sure we would need to get our Airecuts soon, she weally sprayed us down so we would not have any tickie buggies....Yuck! But, turnsout we are going to our groomers today! We are gonna get ouwr Spring Airecuts! Boy do we need 'em.

So here we are on the car wide home yestrday...I wuv the wind in my face as we dwive awound. It's pawesome....and Roy...well, he needed a nappie. We'll see you soon wiff our new look for Spring!

A "Bye-bye" to start the Weekend !

We had a fiewld twip today...it was weally, weally coooool!

Fellow Airepals.....we went for a great"bye-bye" today....our hoomans took us to Luddam's Park today!! We were sniffin' and markin' and just tooling along through the trails. It was pawesome! Our little hoomans came too and they helped Mumsie wiff us. See us all together below....

There was a wittle wiver we had to cwoss - Mumsie wanted to go in the water wiff us but we saw something more interwesting......

There were smallish aminals in the woods - we wanted to sniff and smell and drag our hoomans into the woods off the path too.....but our wittle hoomans wouldn't go....and Mumsie was tinking we'd get covered in ticks and stuff. Being that we need our spring airecuts still.....

And after wittle while of sniffin', meeting other hoomans, licking and more sniffin', we got back in the twuck to go home. We were pooped and thiwsty. Mumsie gave us a little dwinkie but we were happy to be going home to our BIG waterbottle and bowl! Then I took a nappie and all was good. Can a week end any betterer than dis? Whoo-hooo! Howdy! It's Monday and we are off to the park today with Mum. We are so excited to go sniff and smell and see and wace and womp awound! She told us we were going and we put on ouwr biggest smiles!

It's nice that we are lucky enough to go places. Mumsie likes to take us with her, she doesn't like when we are home awwl awone.

Monday is a good day to go to PetCo with Mumsie....maybe we will wook at pink leashes and cowlars for Miz Wowa Dale. We think Mumsie will be sending a piece of fleece to Mommy Tara Dale so Miz Wowa Dale will get used to ouwr smells. She did that for bofh of us.....it was nice.

(Jack Jack) Yawwwwnnnn! Hi thewre! It's me, Crackers.....it's waining hewe agwain! Yuck. I get all muddy and that means Mum won't let me in the big house to see the kids or to way out on the couch. I have to hang out with Roy Boy in the mud woom until I am dwy. Bummer.

(Roy Al)It's a cwappy day! It's cold agin and cloudy and what's worse....Mummy is talking about a new dog! Something about a Lola Dale...whatever that is. She showed us a picture of cute little red ball of fuzz and we licked and nose poked......but we didn't know that Lola was coming here someday soon.....

Oh oh, we better be on our BEST airedale behavior...what if she decides to steal Mummy from us?

(Jack Jack) NAH! Mummy will never forget about us, we are the number one sons! We are the ones that love her and lick her and wake her up...and the kids too! They wuv us tons! We will be just fine, besides, I've already claimed the bottom of Mummy and Daddy's bed ~ even YOU don't get to sleep there!

(Roy Al) Yeah, but I, yes me - Roy Al - I am Mummy's favowite....I get to snuggle in her lap and watch TV at night, I always get the longer tubbie (cause I'm soooo goood), amd Mummy always rubs my ears and my belly.

(Jack Jack) Whatever Roy....we are gonna hawf to see what she's like...she may be coooool and fun to hang out with.....after all she is a Dale even if she has red hair. And if Mummy wuvs her, we will probabwy wuv her too.

First, we have to say that we love BEING AIREDALES because it is sooo much FUN!

Okay, okay...we love our humans and they are awesome because we get to go on adventures with them. We go to Cape Cod, we go to World's End, we go to the beach and on the boat, out for walks, near the river, by the Herring Run, in the woods.....oh yeah and we sleep sometimes too....

AND EAT! Boy do we love to eat....Supper-lupper time is the best! Both in the morning and at dinner time. We get treats sometimes and we just love that. We don't do many tricks but our kids are now trying to make us do stuff like "Paw" and soon it'll be "roll over"...yeah right! Don't they know we are AIREDALES?

Anyway, we get tubbies and brushed out over the winter but we are both in need of new AIRECUTS! We are woolly beasts! See me, Roy, in the Snow.....It gets cold here in the winter and we need our coats to keep us mighty warm. We are fixing to tell Mum we want one soon...today it was almost 70 degrees out....Spring and Summer are coming......we can't wait.

We plan to tell you our stories here and about our adventures....so stay tuned! We (yes both of us and our humans) are expecting exciting news about a sister from our family at Tenkiller Airedales......
